And again a big event is over. Thanks to all who visited us at the Spiel19 in Essen. We started with 4 products. Adellos – first Edition, the strategy game, Woods of Tarnaris – Path to Luslaria our fast card game, the Adellos Inlay “Adel” and Silent Army the fantasy card board game by Patrick Braun. Woods of Tarnaris, Rulebook Version 2 – September 2019

Hello boardgame players,

last month there was a lot going on behind the scenes and a lot of organisational stuff. But also in September we were on the road again. At the Ratinger Spieltage LIGHT, at a demo round in the Voyager and at the fair “BRETT” in Hamburg. As usual, many thanks to all of you who dropped by our booth. But after the fair is before the fair. In October there will be the biggest board games fair in Europe. >> >>

Development of the Kickstarter Add-On – April 2019

My path until here provided endless opportunities to learn. In most cases by mistakes. And the Kickstarter campaign for Adellos was no exception. Even tho it was successful, it ended with significantly fewer backers than I had hoped.
The first (and only) stretch goal I had achieved did not feel enough alone to me, for the backers of whom some really spent a lot of money on an enhanced version of the base game. >> >>

Optional Rules

Optional rules are great. They can enhance the game and give it new dimensions of play as well as a variable depth. With optional rules can you – the player – play the game in a way you like the most. This is why we’d like to provide you with the most important ones. Why they are not mentioned in the manual you ask? So that I have something to do… -.-* >> >>

Rules Q&A and FAQ

Although Till and myself have tested the rules thoroughly over an extended period of time there are some things which are a bit unclear.

Following are the questions regarding the rules that are asked so far.

Now that the game is released we played a lot with players outside our test group and found that some things are not as clear as we hoped they’d where. Unfortunately we couldn’t prevent this because as long as there is a finite number of test players there will be a finite number of question. >> >>

The “SPIEL18” and the finished Game – October 2018

October 2018 was the preliminary highlight for Adellos with the fair “SPIEL” late in the month and by far the most exhausting month in years. But first things first:

The month began when I developed “Adventures of Navrith” with John. The adventure game which John is working on for 15 years, that is now gradually taking shape. In addition, I have already received the ordered flyers, posters and business cards as PR-material for the SPIEL18. >> >>

First Work on the Adellos CCG – September 2018

September was all about the Adellos CCG.

While Nele continued to create outstanding Adventure-Cards for Founding Tarnaris and I continued to test the prototype, I was, above all, thinking with Mathias and Daniel about the layout of our trading cards a lot. After a few tests and plenty of discussion, I can settle for the Moment with a design based on Mathias layout suggestion and instruct Daniel to squeeze the entire undead faction that exists until then into the newly decided layout. >> >>

The first Graphics – November 2016

The start of Adellos felt racing fast. After I had given my ideas a goal, I now only needed pictures and graphics. Graphics that I could work with or drawings that expressed my vision of the characters I wanted to create.
Thankfully, as a source for test material that I wanted to use to build the game for the development and testing phase, I had a PC game on hand that I also loved to play. >> >>

An Idea is Born – October 2016

The origin of an idea…
I am a gamer. And I’ve always been a gamer. On consoles, the PC and at the kitchen table.
And just the latter, so board and card games, have taken over an increasing place in my life in the last few years. After finishing my education, without a new challenge, I felt a certain emptiness in my everyday life, which can not be filled by my work as an educator.
